NW • Tina Webster grew up in and around Portland, Oregon.
SW • Ron Haas grew up in Los Angeles, California.
SE • Bonya McGarrity grew up in Memphis, TN.
NE • Peter Langston grew up in New York City's Greenwich Village.
3 Play Ricochet combines a long-time favorite Northwest performer with three up-and-coming musicians just establishing their credentials as bluegrass and modern acoustic music stalwarts. Peter Langston (guitar, mandolin, dobro, and vocals) seems to play anything with strings on it. He started playing traditional music in his teens, forming pioneering bluegrass and jug bands in Portland, Oregon in the 60s and New York City in the 70s—and he hasn't stopped yet. He's performed with such diverse artists as Doc Watson, Chill Wills, Mike Seeger, Clark Terry, Bill Keith, and the Reverend Gary Davis.

Ron Haas (resophonic guitar, guitar, and vocals) is the musical youngster of the group. Ron's parents had no interest at all in playing traditional music. Nonetheless, his own interest in traditional music found encouragement in the Seattle music scene and he has become a fine dobro player and luthier, building guitars, ukes, and dobros, including the dobro he plays on stage.
