>I hope I'm not the only one in Oakland chuckling at Billy Graham's
>billboards inviting Christians to gather in the Coliseum.

That poor billboard. If Billy hasn't appeared in your town yet, the
advertisment for his tour consists of large white signs with the slogan
"Where do you want to go tomorrow?" printed under a facsimile of the
pixelated Microsoft pointer hand which was all over the place earlier in
the year.

For a while last month, some one or ones with a ladder, hacksaw and duct
tape had shifted the extended finger on the billboard overlooking the
Oakland approach to the Bay Bridge one digit to the right.

On the opposite side of the bridge, heading east, someone else had simply
added an extended little finger to the hand, giving it a certain diabolical
quality.

Still, the energy of these modifications pales before the exuberance
exibited by a random graffitist who, in a moment of social awareness,
scrawled on the original Microsoft advertisement displayed on a bus shelter
at the Ashby BART station some months ago: "Wrong Finger".
