TV Guide is reporting that Ellen DeGeneres' character on her hit ABC
sitcom "Ellen" will come out of the closet and reveal that she is a
lesbian. TV Guide reports that Ms. DeGeneres and the show's producers have
led the charge.  The first nine episodes of the new season will deal with
the out-of-the-closet issues.  ABC and the Walt Disney Company, which owns
ABC, have refused to comment on the TV Guide article.  Expect both to take
a lot of heat on this issue.
